  Did any of us ever enjoy meetings?

  this is a legitimate question.

  did any of us ever find real joy in being at the meetings?

  did any of us ever finish a meeting and think "i feel so enriched"?

  How about film presentation, anyone see any for the Sunday meeting? I gave one in the 70's but

  was told it's not appropriate for the Sunday meeting even though other congregation ask for it.

  What would we all do if the watchtower collapsed tomorrow ?

  Mass suicides in 1945 Nazi Germany comes to mind.

  There were several reasons why "some" decide to end there lives.

  1) Nazi propaganda had created fear among some section of the population about

  the impending military invasion of their country. Jw abandon in the wicked world.

  2) Many had been indoctrinated in unquestioning loyalty to the party and with its cultural ideology of

  preferring death over living in defeat.

  3) Finally, others killed themselves because they knew what would happen to them following defeat, war

  criminals. JW the damage they have done to love ones who left the organization.

  bridge. Help them in getting some counsel..

  What is the motivation behind the JW org?

  the gb has recently said that the brothers are generously contributing lots of money (at gunpoint it seems!

  ) so why with a billion dollar annual income do they demand more cash?

  they have staunched the outward flow of money on paid preachers, zone overseers and bethel expenses and stalled the promised worldwide luxury buildings projects..

  Animals were created without needing Toilet Paper ... but not Man ... Why???

  my dog and other pets do their "business" and run away and are happy.. man does not have that luxury.

  any thoughts on why animals were created with the "poop and go" capacity while man has to go through more steps?

  was this perhaps an additional issue that god added on when adam and eve sinned (such as eve having significant more birth pains)?

  LOL NO, no it was a compliment my friend, we cover a wide range of interesting topics.

  The topic is really informative.

  Just think if the subjects we cover here were covered(in detail) in the JW organization, how many of

  us would have walked sooner.

  Inviting disfellowshipped to the memorial

  i read in a european ex jw forum that this year they are making a special effort to invite not only the inactive but also a special effort is made to invite all disfellowshipped.

  .

  i don't know if this as always been a common practice, or something started anew so they can boast about the numbers of attendees..

  If a person is nuts and believe he or she is anointed let Jehovah tell them when they reach

  Gossiping

  so last night we had some friends around for dinner, (not jw) & it was a really wonderful evening.

  we talked about a variety of subjects, just had a laugh & drunk wine & beer.

  this morning my husband & i were talking about how nice it was, how free we felt with our opinions.

  This is the the type of gossip you hear in the church I was raised in, you know the brother have a drinking

  problem but he is trying and we are here for him, or sister so and so is have a difficult time with her

  children , she's single and it's rough for her she needs encouragement so you sister see what you can do

  to help out. In JW world, she's weak stay a way..

  Superintendent Kaminski: Teachers , as appropriate for a particular class, may objectively

  discuss the influences of various religions, but instruction about religion "shall not promote or

  denigrate the beliefs of custom of any particular religion".

  Did he miss that in his job description....
